“I play around a lot with bread, and this was another attempt. The texture is great and you should give it a try. Baked using bicarbonate of soda (baking soda), eggs, and a combination of almond and coconut flours, this bread took a few attempts to get me to this point. Since ingredients are pricey (and I want you to succeed first time) I encourage you to follow the recipe closely. The loaf you shape (which is fairly small) will slice into approximately 8 mini slices, but the dense texture makes each slice rather filling. The macros are calculated per two slices of (35g / 1.2oz) each, so adjust accordingly. Enjoy topped with cream cheese or goat’s cheese and smoked salmon for a posh afternoon tea option, like I did here.” – Monya

“This is a lovely, keto-friendly pudding to enjoy alongside cream or my Keto Vanilla Ice Cream. The sharp, tart berries shine alongside the coconutty flavour of the crunchy crumble. If you have 6 ramekins, you may be better off baking these in them (as opposed to one pie dish), which makes for easier serving. If you choose to do this, place all the ramekins onto a tray when baking to ensure safe removal from the oven. #SafetyFirst” – Monya

“I would choose salmon over bacon any day! This bowl of goodness is the ultimate keto breakfast! It is filling and will likely to keep you satisfied well into the day. I used soft goat’s cheese, but if the idea of eating such a strong cheese in the morning makes you want to throw something at me, use full-fat cream cheese (soft cheese) instead. Be sure to check out other Breakfast ideas on the site.” – Monya

“This pork shank with mustard keto gravy recipe uses fresh (not cured) pork shank which you can get from your butcher. Be sure to ask him to score the fat for you. I slow-cook it here in a casserole (covered with a well-fitting lid), along with onions, garlic and stock. Then, I make a gravy from the cooked down onions and juices, and crank the heat up to puff that skin up for that glorious crackling. A 1kg /2.2lb / 35oz shank will sufficiently feed 4 people and can be enjoyed with my Creamy Cauliflower Mash, so the accompanying gravy can be mopped up.” – Monya

“This is an easy breakfast idea to get added nutrients into your morning meal. Baby spinach leaves are buttery and amazing, and I could have it with just about anything. Many of my readers want more breakfast ideas, and I think poached eggs on spinach is a great option to make your morning meal a little more interesting. “This is just a quick post to show how lovely the Keto Breakfast Muffins are that I posted earlier. A good spread of grass-fed butter and prosciutto and you have a quick lunch sorted for two people! My Keto Breakfast Muffins recipe (which is used in this recipe idea) makes two muffins, which are then essentially halved. Macros are calculated per one serving being two halves, exactly as pictured.” – Monya

“These are similar to my Quick Keto Chia Bread recipe , except I made these in ramekins. Ramekins are ideal because they create perfect little shapes (which I slice in half). This recipe will make 2 muffins and yield 4 slices, as pictured. The macros are calculated as 1 serving / muffin being cut into 2 slices. Top with a poached egg or butter and good-quality prosciutto, like I did on my Low-carb Prosciutto Muffins or make a super-posh Keto Salmon Eggs Benedict.” – Monya

“This is a great homemade sauce to use as a pizza base or to smother your meatballs. See my Keto Cabbage and Mince Rolls where I used the full batch. The recipe yields a 500g / 17.6oz batch and the macros have been calculated that one person’s serving will be approximately 125g / 4.4oz. This is enough for 4 people. If you don’t need it all, it freezes well. Don’t forget the all-important dried oregano which adds an authentic Italian flavour.” – Monya

“Fresh, lovely tomato ketchup (as pictured) doesn’t take long at all to make and is packed with the fresh flavour you would come to expect from something made at home with love. Macros are calculated on 60g / 2.1oz serving, so adjust accordingly as you use it. If you choose to have a more ‘cooked’ flavour to your ketchup, cook the finished product for 10-15 minutes in a pan over moderate heat until it thickens and slightly darkens. Allow to cool completely before chilling. Store both versions covered in the fridge for no longer than 4 days (or freeze it!).” – Monya

“Even in Life Before Keto, I rarely ate bread. When I did indulge, I always regretted it afterwards. I felt bloated and miserable and wouldn’t poop for a week (no bacon butty is worth that! I have therefore never missed bread when starting keto. However, being human and all, the craving for a slice of toast with butter-and-Bovril still hits me every now and again! I am well-chuffed with this alternative! Give it a try and then pat yourself on the back for being so dedicated.” – Monya

“Another fab (and super-simple) idea using a slice of the Quick Keto Chia Bread. This keto toasted cheese and tomato uses strong Cheddar cheese and tomato. Its nothing fancy, but it will hit the spot. One serving is one open slice, as pictured, but double it up and have two if your daily macros allow it.” – Monya

“A quickie post this, just showing how lovely my Quick Keto Chia Bread is. It’s a handy keto bread with no ‘eggy’ flavour. Enjoy this delicious keto avocado toast for breakfast or as a light snack.” – Monya

“It’s very satisfying making your own condiments from scratch, and even better with the knowledge that you know exactly what has gone into it. This is a great, easy homemade mayonnaise recipe – and I have included another step at the end if you wish to have a zingy version (simply finely grate in some lemon zest). Give it a try at least once and once you get the hang of it, play around adding finely chopped herbs, or lime zest. Since we are only making small amounts – with an understandable shelf-life (no preservatives etc.) – we need only a small glass jug and a small whisk (or an electric hand mixer if you have one). The macros are calculated on a serving being one generously-heaped tablespoon, so the batch will make about 7 such servings. Store covered in the fridge for no longer than 4 days.” – Monya

“These are super simple little creamy sweet fat pots. I tope them with tart raspberries to cut through the rich creaminess. The recipe makes 4 small pots and can be done in ramekins, but I used little plastic pots which I found on amazon. (Ignore the product description that says they are disposable – I wash and re-use them.) Simply wrap in clingfilm and take these babies to work with you! Be sure to check out other Fat Bomb ideas on the site (some are sweet, other are savoury) or check out the Dessert section for great sweet treats!” – Monya

“The spicy relish served with these courgette fritters really is the star of the show. It cuts through the richness and adds a spicy, sweet and acidic freshness. This recipe may be too rich served as a side dish, but it will make a great breakfast option. Squeezing all the moisture from the grated courgettes is essential: I use inexpensive muslin / cheesecloth. Be sure to check out the other Breakfast ideas on the site.” – Monya
