More on Quick Guacamole…

Guacamole is a popular and delicious condiment or dip that can be a great addition to the keto diet for several reasons. Avocados are the primary ingredient in guacamole, and they are rich in healthy monounsaturated fats. These fats are a key component of the keto diet because they help keep you feeling full and satisfied while keeping your carbohydrate intake low.

Avocados are one of the lowest-carb fruits available, making them a suitable choice for those following a keto diet. They are an excellent source of dietary fibre, which is important on the keto diet. Fiber helps regulate blood sugar levels and aids in digestion. It also contributes to a feeling of fullness, which can help control your appetite.

Guacamole is not just a source of healthy fats; it also provides essential vitamins and minerals. Avocados contain nutrients like potassium, folate, vitamin K, vitamin C, and vitamin E. These nutrients support overall health and well-being.

Guacamole is a versatile condiment that can be used in various ways on the keto diet. You can use it as a dip for low-carb vegetables like celery and bell peppers, as a topping for grilled meats or fish, or even as a salad dressing. It adds flavour and creaminess to your meals without significantly increasing carb intake.

It is important to note that to maintain ketosis, it’s essential to track carbohydrate intake and ensure it aligns with your daily macro goals. Consulting with a healthcare professional is advised before making significant dietary changes.
