Monnie’s Sugar free Steelworks

Sugar-free Steelworks

“This is my version of a sugar free Steelworks – possibly one of the most refreshing drinks ever! Traditionally, Cola Tonic is used to make a Steelworks, but it is packed with sugar so I had to steer clear. I went in search for a sugar-free Cola Tonic, but only found ones coming in at £129 per bottle! I couldn’t believe my eyes, so I got to work playing around with what I could. There are two versions below, one using diet coke and the other using cola essence. Both are great, but I love the one using diet coke (the darker one in the picture) the most. The most important aspect in both is a generous couple of drops of Angostura Bitters! So yum!” – Monya

  • This couldn't be easier! Both versions are the same: simply combine the ingredients in a large glass with plenty of ice! Don't be shy with the Angostura Aromatic Bitters - it offers an incredible flavour and is very important.
  • Want to make this more grown-up? Add a tot of vodka!
