Butter Braised Red Cabbage with Almonds (Keto)

Butter Braised Red Cabbage with Almonds Keto

“Are you looking for ways to eat the rainbow? Even though I love MEAT, I am a huge fan of vegetables, so I love finding ways to prepare delicious side vegetable recipe ideas for any time of the year. This braised red cabbage is buttery and acidic and would go perfectly with your Sunday pork roast. I went a step further and scattered over roasted flaked almonds for additional flavour and texture. Play around and use any nuts if you wish to do so, but roasting them is essential to enhance their flavour.” – Monya

Keto Celeriac Dauphinoise

Keto Celeriac Dauphinoise

“I grew up in South Africa and a mandatory ‘potato bake’ was the highlight of any braai. After going keto in early 2018, not being able to tuck into one was the only thing that stung a little. Then I discovered how low in carbs celeriac was! So, I adapted the recipe I used to do for a potato bake, but used celeriac instead! UPDATE: I have taken this recipe off this blog because I worked hard to bring you a new-and-improved version that now features in my cookbook Keto Kitchen.” – Monya

Keto Baked Creamy Baby Onions with Crackling Crumb

Keto Baked Creamy Baby Onions with Crackling Crumb
Baked Onions

“I love this dish! I baked baby onions in a thyme-infused cream and topped with a crumb made from blitzed lean pork scratchings (a UK product) and finely grated Parmesan. When I made this dish for us, we ended up eating them on top of our grilled pork chops. Lush! The peeling of the onions is a finicky job, but the results are worth it in the end. Be sure to keep the little root end intact to ensure the onions keep their shape, but use a small, sharp paring knife to trim it close enough that the entire onion is edible. And don’t jab yourself like I did doing that … #BloodFest2018″ – Monya
